Making an automation “Inactive”/unpublished means that:
- Contacts will not be able to enter the automation
- The automation will pause until it is published again
- All scheduled events or triggers will not run unless the campaign is published
There are 2 ways you can make the automation within your campaign “inactive” or unpublished.
Open up the “Workflow/Automations” page to see an overview of all your current campaigns.
Go over to the switch next to the campaigns name, you can click this switch to publish or unpublish a campaign
- If the switch is blue, the campaign is published and the automation is “Active”
- If the switch is red, the campaign is unpublished and the automation is “inactive”
You can also Publish or Unpublish a campaign by clicking and opening up the campaign details page
Under “Published” you will see a “Yes” and “No” switch
- If you select ‘Yes’, your campaign will be published and the automation will be “Active”
- If you select ‘No’, your campaign will not be publish and the automation will be “inactive”
